I completed my Master's Degree under the advisement of Dr. Brock McMillan at Brigham Young University. For my research in this position, I have:
Supervised the capture and tagging of over 100 neonate deer and elk
Assisted in the tagging of adult deer and elk
Spent considerable time alone in remote field sites
Worked extensively in program R
Written and prepared for publication multiple scientific papers
Volunteer - UDWR

For several years I had the opportunity to work with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources on several volunteer projects. My work included:
Recording data and collecting samples at deer check stations
Capturing and relocating urban turkeys and moose
Capturing and tagging bears and mountain lions
Releasing pheasants
Installing wildlife guzzlers
Classifying free-ranging pronghorn by age and sex
Performing aerial surveys for elk and moose


Teacher's Assistant

I have helped teach two classes at Brigham Young University, which are Plant Identification and Natural History of Wildlife. This position required me to grade assignments, assist students, and teach lessons.
Undergraduate Research Assistant

As an undergraduate I worked in BYU's Wildlife Ecology lab. In this position I had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, which included:
Processing blood from deer, elk and bison
Conducting vegetation surveys and plant collection
Assisting in the capture and tagging of adult mule deer, bighorn sheep, and mountain goats
Locating VHF collars and collared animals using radio telemetry equipment
Placing and retrieving trail cameras, as well as processing trail camera photos
Conducting bird surveys
Capturing and tagging greater sage-grouse
Assisting in the capture and processing of bison
